Vermont Dairy barn. Built circa 1806.

Vermont barn (frame only), gunstock posts, built approximately 1806, came from a Vermont farm in Shaftsbury. This frame is stacked on a 45’ flatbed trailer and under a shelter. This barn along with most VT barns is shown in Vermont’s Barn calendar (copy included). Barn exterior dimensions are 29’X42’, mixed wood species, one middle post has some rot damage at the bottom, can either replace or make an open/exposed repair(showing it). Also, one of the cross beams has a break and was going to make an exposed repair with iron plates and bolts to look period. You can see that break in one of the photos. This frame was completely assembled using wood pegs including the rafters, has original “marriage marks”. (Saved as many old pegs as possible when I disassembled the barn). Posts and beams vary in size and range from 7×8 to 8×8 and larger. Rafters are mostly oak and are 3X5 at the plate and taper towards the ridge. Barn is disassembled, stacked appropriately, tagged and stored on a 45’ flatbed trailer under cover(dry). I will add details or provide more info upon request. My assistance to reconstruct frame can be negotiated. $16,500.
