Authentic 1830s Ohio Hand-Hewn White Oak Barn Frame

Nearly 200 years ago, craftsmen using hand tools and old-world timber framing techniques built this remarkable white oak barn. Today, it presents a rare opportunity to own and repurpose a genuine piece of American history.

This authentic 1830s Ohio barn frame is constructed entirely of hand-hewn white oak with massive 10″ x 10″ posts and beams joined using traditional mortise-and-tenon construction. Structures of this age, size, and quality are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially in a condition suitable for reconstruction.

The frame measures approximately 40′ x 80′ and includes the original posts, beams, and rafters, along with the materials required to complete a minor repair. The barn has been carefully dismantled and is currently on the ground, organized, and ready for transport.
